HELP A NEWBIE OUT....plz

I have a 92 z28 with disk brakes that we are restoring. I am in need of a new rear end but have nobody that can repair it anytime soon. I have the chance to get a rear end for 100 but it has drums. Can this work with the system till the stock one is rebuilt? Thank you for the help!!

Re: HELP A NEWBIE OUT....plz

The drum rear will bolt right on but the brake lines will not work. Neither will the Ebrake cable. Even if you managed to get the brake lines hooked up, the proportioning valve would most likely cause the drum to lock up under moderate to heavy load.
If you are restoring this car then it most likely isnt going to be road worthy in the next month or three so Id suggest looking around for someone to rebuild the original disc rear.

Speaking of which, what is wrong with it?
