87 Rear Piston won't push back in
87 Rear Piston won't push back in
I got an 87 camaro with rear DM calipers and I can't screw the pistons back in. I have the proper tool to twist the piston and push it back in but it just won't go back in. I can get the piston to turn but it only turns a little bit and stops turning and it won't go in at all. What am I missing???

What I did with mine when I still had them was to take off the arm on the back and turn the screw in a bit push in the Piston some. And repeat till it's all the way in. I did it that way to avoid damage to the seal around the screw.

Are you sure that the brake line isn’t the problem? If you open the bleed scream will it retract?

daferris, thanks I will give that a try.
Galaxie500xl, I was suspecting the hose could be acting as a check valve but the car only has 45K miles on it. I'm going to pull the banjo bolt off and check it if the suggestion daferris gave me does work.
