Axle housing end bolt pattern, caliper brackets
Hi everyone, I have a lazy a** question to ask. Lazy cause with some time and effort I could figure out the answer for myself. I'm hoping though that someone has the answer. I want to get as much information as I can before I start to work. What is the difference in the axle housing end bolt pattern between an 87 7.5" 10 bolt and a 93-02 10 bolt? What kind of PITA will it be to install caliper brackets that fit the 87 onto a rear axle with 93-02 axle housing ends?

All the Chevy 10 and 12 bolt are, essentially, the same. Some of the BOP 10 bolt is different though.

In those years, it's all a bolt-up.
Not to be a male organ, but... you'd have to have your head up your … where the sun don't shine … to put 87 disc brakes onto ANYTHING in a swap. Throw that crap in the trash and get something that actually works.

I'm swapping in a 9" Ford this summer. Got the fab housing from QP. It has 93-02 housing ends. There will be enough to deal with on the swap without worrying about the brakes bolting up.

OK, that's different then.
The 9-bolt has something different about the housing ends, that requires different backing plates. Not real sure what it is, because I've never really paid attention to it; too lazy to look at the various ones I have. The 10-bolt housing ends are the same. But if you have a rear w/ 93-02 ends, the LS1 setup oughta just slap right up on there. Maybe even jump on it all by itself if you set it on the ground right next to the other.
