LS1 fronts - BOTH seized. ???
So I've had my LS1 front brake set up for close to 10 years now, but I don't put many miles on the car. Maybe 1000 a year? If that? Anyhow, BOTH calipers are having trouble releasing. I can turn the wheel, but they're definitely tight. I know this happens from time to time, but what are the chances of them BOTH happening at the same time, or at least CLOSE to the same time? I've changed rear brakes recently, but did NOT bleed the entire system, Just got the rears working. Brakes have been working fine, but again, it's not like I drive a lot.
What could cause this? Thoughts? ....any concern, or would you just fix 'em and not worry about it?

Had both front calipers on my ram go at the same time while driving home. So it can happen.
As for a cause, old fluid and excessive moisture in the system?

Yeah.....I spoke with a buddy of mine who is a professional mechanic. He said any fluid over a few years, on a NON daily driven vehicle is asking for trouble. Said they may never have a problem, but he said time, and lack of movement was a killer.
....so new fluid it is. -and calipers.

Also check the caliper guide pins, sometimes they get dry and hang up.

All of my recent brake caliper lock-up issues went away the second I disconnected the hoses. The pistons weren't seized, it was just the tiny pin hole in the steel ends of the rubber hoses that had corroded or been plugged by debris in the fluid. It's worth a try before tearing apart the calipers.
