Drum Brake Part missing!

So replacing drum brakes I've missed two parts, one I've been able to build. The other is the drum brake shoe guide. Does anyone know online where I could buy one? I cant find any that fit anywhere.

Re: Drum Brake Part missing!

If this is a 82-92 Camaro or Firebird, every single piece of the drum brakes other than the backing plate, shoes, and wheel cyl, comes in the hardware kit and the adjuster kit.

Don't "build" brake parts. Have that much respect for the rest of us on the roads.

Show us what you need.

Rock Auto should have all of it available.

Unless you mean the steel bit that slips over the pivot pin to retain the shoes or the spreader bar between the shoes. Usually those bits are reused. Might have to get crafty to find a replacement... S10s, Gbodies, etc of the same time period should use the same parts. Junkyard to the rescue, or put a want ad on the classifieds.

Re: Drum Brake Part missing!

All of those parts come in either the hardware kit or the adjuster kit. Except that there's no "guide" that I've ever seen.

But you're right Drew, all kinds of other cars from the same time frame, had the same setup. All of it is easy to get. If we see a photo of what he has I'm sure we'd be able to point him in the right direction.

Assuming of course, that he's working on a thirdgen.
