getting drum brakes off?

getting drum brakes off?

I cant get the drum brakes off the axle on my 82 camaro, ive tryed the ratchet lookin thing behind the rubber plug in the back but that wont even move, ive tryed brake parts cleaner and some other stuff let i soak in and hit the back with a hammer but that F*u*c"kers stuck on there good can some one give me some ideas or a page with a pictorial...

Will the wheel turn? Did you try moving the brake adjuster in the opposite direction? As the drums wear, they usually develop a ridge inboard of the brake shoes, and you have to adjust the shoes down to smaller diameter than the ridge to get the drum off.

ok i got those drums off, i pushed on the breaks pedal and one side of the brake cylander poped out and squirted break fluid, but all the interanal stuff move and the shoes expanded so i guess thats a good sign i think every thing was just rusted up. Im going to redo the cylander and shoes on both sides any recomendaions on up grades or any thig else i should replace.

Ok i bought brake shoes, drums and wheel cylander but the thin sheet metal pies that holds the wheel cylander on has rusted through how can i fix this?
