1992 Borg Warner HD Rear End?

Hello. I need to by the rear brake lines for my 1992 Z/28. The options include knowing whether or not the car has a Borg Warner HD rear axle. How do I determine if I have the Borg Warner rear end or not? Thank you.

The Borg Warner rear has an 9 bolt cover on it, but your '92 wouldn't have that rear if it still has the one it left the factory with. However, doesn't hurt to physically verify it.

And, ... wait for it ... 9 bolts ... holding the cover on.

You almost certainly don't have that, since it was discontinued after 89. Or maybe you might have the Dana 44 that was an over-the-counter replacement for the rear that DID come in that car.

If the cover has 10 bolts and is round, it's ... a ... wait for it ... 10-bolt; the 7½" GM 10-bolt that your car would certainly have come with. If it has 10 bolts but the cover is ... NOT round, you have one of the 3 or 4 Dana 44s that are out there in the wild.
