17k mi Z28
Selling my 1984 Z28camaro, it has arouund 17.000 orig miles on it and I belive everything is orig. The car is driven very little, only on sunney days. The car is black with silver on the bottom. It is a 5.0 H.O. with a five speed.
Thier is one spot of rust on the underside of the hood 1"by2'' and thier is a tiny pull in the seat and cigaret burns on the drivers side floor, aloso the celling starting to hang. Also a small stress crack above the window(normal for 3rd gens i am told) and tiney chip in the wind sheild.I could fix it all for a couple hundred $$ but I like it orig. I will emall picks to those interested
$14,000OBO Im in CT thaks fot looking!

I think every thing matches up. It has 17k miles I am not the original owner so I dont now if anything was changed. 17k miles dose not mean its mint, It has some flaws.

The hood is steel that is why their is a very small spot of rust on it. I am basing my starting price on cars on and sold on ebay wich i have been watching on and off for a couple of months. Also cars for sale on this site. I belive it is fair for a 17,000 mile car!

Re: 17k mi Z28
not trying to be a bump in the road since everyone is like doubting you but how long have you owned this car? i mean to buy a car from someone and say it only has 17k miles on it....Doesnt seem reliable. I mean if youve had the car for over 10 yrs i could sorta MAYBEbelieve it but i mean come on...car thats that old....and not being the original owner....sounds like odometer just rolled over to me

Re: 17k mi Z28
I have to agree , these were 5 digit speedometers and mine shows 18k, also if you look at the fenderwells and other small issues I would have to see documentation of milage.Again you have a very nice car but the true third gen enthuast will doubt the original miles and you will have a hard time selling it for that kind of money. I am second owner of my 1983 Z and I have covered the cosmetic bases to bring out the best in it.I think you should stand back and take a good hard look at every nook and cranny to prove the 17k
Good luck with the sale

Re: 17k mi Z28
Thats not fare I have owned the car for less than a year. I have carfacted the car. I bought it from a man that was 50 and lived with his mother, it has not been reisterd since 1994 acording to DMV, they dont lie. The car has the original wheels and belts. I dident belive the miles myself but the car is to clean and orig to be rolled back. THe clutch has a litle ware(almost unnoticabule) I have the orig filter and spark plugs they were only changed for the performence vershion. I have had it in a car show and no one though it did not have orig miles. All send anyone picks of anything. People just dont belive it becuse most 80% out their are junk THis is not. thanks

Yes you can post pics. You can either 'upload' them through this site as attachment, or upload the pics to like a photobucket account and use the [img] tags to post them, like so

If you are not interested in the car, do NOT post in this thread anymore. sweetorig84 can ask what he wants to ask for his car. Arguing over asking prices is not permitted.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: 17k mi Z28
I never post on here, but I have seen and owned low mile cars with sagging headliners and rust on the under side of the hood. A friend of mine has an 83 H/o with similar miles and has similar flaws right down to the butt burns in the carpet and saggy headliner. Why don't you nagging tire kickers just let the a real buyer decide.

Still un-sure on the mileage, but hope you accept what someone else offers you that is a reasonable price.

Re: 17k mi Z28
you all are just whiner's I can tell by the 4 pictures the car only has 17k on it look at the plastics in the wheel wells its still black just dirty the car is just dirty but the paint looks great and yes I have an 91 z28 with 46k on it with an sagging headliner and a half inch of rust and my car is 7 years newer. so what are you all crying about the car is 24 years old things can rust in 20 years mileage or not, headliners can sag in 24 years it's not an 2008 people, if you don't want to buy the car stop being little girls if it was me iput the price back at 13,000

Re: 17k mi Z28
Hey man, I'm not interested in buying it but I don't think your original asking price is extreme at all. I'd put it on Craigslist.com for your original asking price and see what happens. I think it would go for 13 or 14000 on ebay easily. Just my opinion.

Re: 17k mi Z28
dont take this the wrong way but your going to have to drop the price(just trying to help you sell it up to you if you take my advice or not) i bought my 2000 z28 for 10k in mint condition(only thing wrong with it is someone put the 35th aniv plate around the radio other then that it was mint cond orig) my manager just bought a 94z for 4k and it had a t on of aftermarket parts(chip, headers, cluth ect and 4th gens are much more desirable then 3rd gens(although i prefer the 3rd gen)
