1985 Camaro Z-28 Ready For Show's 400+H.P T-5 Worldclass, willing to trade !!!SOLD!!!
1985 Z-28 Camaro "Resto-mod" to better than new condition. This car is equipped with a 5.7 liter 350ci engine built similarly to the ZZ4 Crate engine, T-5 World Class five speed transmission and 4.10 limited slip posi rear axle and 4 wheel disc brakes with only about 3500 miles since it was rebuilt. Also Centerline Telstar’s 15x10 with a 275/50/15 BFG Drag Radials and 15X4 with 165-15. This car was garage kept every day and only driven on the weekends during the spring/summer, it has never seen rain. Read further for a detailed description of all components and performance upgrades, this car is a total BEAST!!!
This car was just painted 2 years ago with a color called "Super Black" which is about 5 shades darker than regular GM black and provides a reflection that looks miles deep!! The paint job alone was $4700.00. Two coats epoxy primer, two coats base coat, three coats clear (all PPG products), wet sanded, compounded and machine glazed and waxed with Zaino. That’s all I ever used on this paint since it was new was Zaino. From the car washes to compounds and glazes and their waxes, and that is the reason the paint shine’s and reflects the way it does.
I replaced the whole nose of the car with OEM Parts. Fenders, bumper cover, hood and ground effects.

The entire inside of the car from firewall to the trunk has been covered with POR-15 paint and dyno matted with TWO layer of dynomat. This car is as quite as a Mercedes inside with all the sound deadening material.

The car has been heavily modified and is nowhere near stock condition. I would've assumed the asking price to be $3500 OBO.. when the price hovers around there let me know ASAP..

Are you telling me that I dumped all this money into this car and all I can get for is AT BEST is 3500?!?!?! If this is true please some other people back him up....I am going to jump off a bridge if he is correct on this.
Also because it's not stock its not worth anything is what your saying... So someone would be better off buying a ******* white trash camaro for 2K thats all stock and put 15k into it then to buy mine is that what you're telling me.
$3500 I feel that is an extreme insult please again SOMEONE that has more then 9 post's chime in and tell me what you guys think here.
Thanks,

I would have to agree with IncredibleBulk. The Down side is that you can get a 84-90 camaro for around 1500-4000 (depending on the condition) and do the same thing you have done yourself and know it was done right (not saying that you didn't do it right). If you wanting to get 6000 for the car you will have to wait for the right buyer. It might not be a "fast sell". if you want a fast sell then it would have to be around the 3000-4000 area
. So keep in there and hopefully you will find the right buyer.

So can one of you guys show me a car like mine for 3000. I looked and can not find one. I find one with paint peeling or a engine with 170000 miles or a blown trans all these for 3500. Then i find rs's in ok condition going for 4000 and it just doesnt make sense to me. Oh well if 3000 is all I can get for it then thats what I'll sell it for.

I didn't mean to insult your price or your third gen.. Just saying that the way the market for these cars goes, a customized '85 that is far from stock is not going to bring your ideal price. Selling the car locally could possibly bring a price closer to what you're asking, that would be my suggestion. Good luck w the sale!

Your car is hard to put a price on. Go take it to an appraisor and get a stated value and that will give you a ballpark figure on what to start from and work down from there.
Also, you just posted this car for sale a few days ago. This site is one of the worst sites to make a "quick sale" on. You'd be better off putting it on ebay in hopes of getting rid of it fast. I had a highly optioned '90 IROC-Z 5spd that was blue and was just a really sought after car and it still took me a couple of weeks to sell it on here.

Just popping in my 2 cents here, but I think that you would be best off selling something like that on eBay ot Craigslist. You won't get an audience there that has access to all the different cars on this site or one like it which drives down the price majorly. Plus a lot of people on those sites don't want to DIY and want a nice car for a reasonably decent price. So if you want to try any of these sites you will be able to put on a higher sticker price and maybe negotiate or have people bid on it to get some money back on the investment.

Ok..wait..wait..You can get $6000 for your car, but it might take longer to get that price. Now trying to get $6000 on this site...well...It will be like pulling your teeth with pilers and pretending it doesn't hurt. People here look at stock with low miles and all original as the big money getters and fast sell. My buddy has sold 2 different Camaros for around that price. The first one was an 1991 Camaro RS T-5 350 he sold for $6500 and he posted locally. The 2nd one was a 1983 Camaro Z28 auto 350 he sold for $6000 in the condition your current car is in now. Now it took several months for this to happen. I think around 5 to 7 months , so it can be done . So post it up on craigslist and Ebay or autotrader and here , just get the car out there to be seen...you will get that $6000 but time will be your enemy...Good luck
P.S ...do not sell it for $3000 !!..I wouldn't

I think its worth a hell of a lot more than $3500. The only issue is finding the person that knows that and has the coin to buy it. Its been said but, I would ask 7-8k or so for it and be prepared to wait for the right person to come along. If you need to get rid of it quick then yes ebay.
Based on all the care and work thats been put into that i would say $3500 is giving it away. I've looked at a lot of Camaros that were a lot less car than this for $3500 (based on what you posted in the ad).
Don't sell it, all the hard work is done!
Got any interest in trading for a 97 Tahoe

Beware of this guy. Make sure the car you'd be getting is legit.

How do you get 415 horsepower from a 350 with 083 heads a cam and a intake???? Do you actually have a dyno sheet on this engine please post it.

Yea I have dyno sheets for every pull I ever made. I'll try to get someone with a scanner to scan them and put them up here. Where are you getting that 415 is hard to make. That isnt alot of power at all for a 350. If i said 600+ H.P then i would expect people to want me to post up the dyno sheets...

judging by what i have read and this guys reputation i wouldn't pay more then 3000 for this car. the paint job is not worth 4500 bucks, the tranny is probably near death, and everything he says is questionable.. I don't believe anything this guys says. 11000 dollars in work... you painted the car, dropped in a t-5, and a 350.. if you paid 11000 to do that then you would have money to pay back all the ppl you stole from.. your a lier and a scammer.
DON"T TAKE THE CHANCE WITH THIS GUY!!!!
