1991 Z28, 1986 Iroc sold.



Here are the details.

Both are/were running cars, both have clean titles.

1986 Iroc-Z
Blue on gray
305TPI
700R4
4 Wheel disc brakes
POSI rear
PW, PDL, T-Tops, 16" Iroc Wheels

I started a project on this car, and never finished it. When I started working on it, the car ran, but the fuel pump was on its last leg. I replaced the fuel pump, rear brake rotors/pads/calipers, carpet, gauge cluster housing (original had a short), and transmission pan with a deep sump unit.
I also installed shorty headers, a high flow y-pipe and cat, and dynomax cat back exhaust. The exhaust is hung, but not tightened up.

The car needs paint, door hinge pins, and bushings, the exhaust finished up, and a few pieces put back in the interior (which are all there). The floors are solid, has a little bit of rust on the inner lips of the quarters, but no rot at all.
The roof near the t-tops has surface rust on it, but no holes, rot etc, just rust from sitting in the sun for 3-4 years. Tires are dry-rotted, but i have a set of rally wheels that can be put on the car to move it.

Car comes with a new High flow dual cat y-pipe (not installed, factory exhaust still on, and in good order), new headliner material, new door weatherstripping, and new hatch weatherstripping. All of the parts are brand new, just need installed.

This car needs paint, a fuel pump, and a tailshaft seal for the transmission (leaks). Car ran strong 2 years ago, but the fuel pump must have went bad from sitting.
Tires have some dry rotting on them, but they still hold air. The floors have some surface rust on them, but no rot, or holes. The quarter panels have some surface rust on the inner lips as well, but no holes/rot, etc. The clear-coat is starting to peel on the car from sitting in the sun for a while, and there are some drops of paint on the car from the people painting my parents house, and not tarping the car off. These drops can be removed if you take the time to do so.


I need to sell all of this together, I do not have the time to part them out, or sell everything to different buyers. The cars are at my parents house, and I live 45 minutes away. Everything above for 1800.00 extremely FIRM. Both cars would need to be transported away, as neither are in running condition right now.

Anybody? Geez, you could nearly part one out, sell the stealth ram, and keep the other car for free. 2500 for two complete third gen TPI V-8 cars, and a complete holley stealth ram setup...both of which can be running cars with a little bit of time/effort.

man this is somewhat puzzling as to why no buys yet...those are pretty much two of the most popular 3rdgens (not rarest,not best) but very saught after. i hate being the guy who talks on a sale add with no intention of buying, but i will say i would totaly be all over this if only i had the spare cash. so maby thats how everyone else is too??? and you should be ashamed of yourself if you take it to the scrap yard!!!!

Update, I have had some interest, and inquiries on both cars. No commitments yet, nothing sold as of yet.
I really need to move these cars ASAP....My parents do not want them sitting at their house anymore, and I do not have the room for them at my house.
Here is the first, and last price drop....2400.00 FIRM for everything, both cars, the complete HSR (which is 3000.00 new by itself).

Lets figure this out.....
Sell the HSR
Part out the 1986 Iroc, 305TPI, 700R4, Iroc wheels, ground effects, gauge cluster, interior, disc brake posi rear, new dynomax cat back exhaust, headers, fenders, Z28 grill/nose, doors, wiring harnesses, sway bars, steering box, electric fan, drive-shaft, spoiler, etc. etc.
Put a fuel pump in the red 1991 Z28, and have what, 7-800 bucks in the car???
or
Finish the Blue Iroc up, and sell it.
or Put a fuel pump in the 1991 Z28, and sell it......

Bottom line, at 2400.00 for the pair, AND the HSR, you could end up with a free car, if you had the time to mess with them......which I do not have.

I cannot stress enough, I need these cars gone, and I need them gone now. I cannot come down in price anymore than this, I am already losing my A$$ as is at this price.

If I were 21-22 again, and did not have kids, I would have bought these myself for this price. Somebody, please, buy these cars, and get them out of my hair.

 

If I can get this convertible I'm putting together finished and sold before these cars sell I'd like to get them of your hands. I'm kind of waiting for my upholstery guy to stitch together some seats for me and order the new top...

Not a problem. I completely understand. My dad worked as an engineer/chemist for Tenneco/Tennessee Gas/ Elpaso Gas natural gas pipleline for 17 years. I remember him getting phone calls at dinner and him having to go in and had only been home for an hour or two.

 

I would be willing to pay 500 for the 91 Z28 by itself. I don't want any of the other parts just the rolling parts car. I'm sorry but a non running car isn't worth 1500 bucks.

 

Lmao! Good luck finding a 1991 z28 350 tpi, that only needs a fuel pump for 500.00. 500.00 wont get you a 1991 z28 without a drivetrain, let alone a 350 tpi car. I think if it came down to it, I could scrap it for about 500.00.

Geez man, you could sell the wheels, ground effects, and spoiler for 500.00. Some people are just out of their minds.

 

Not trying to be a jerk, but that's honestly what I think the car is worth. If it doesn't run then you have to make the assumption that the drivetrain is shot, because you can't prove otherwise. For reference, I bought a 91 Z28 roller 2 years ago with full spohn suspension, ACCEL DFI stand alone management and a moser 9" for 2k. Sorry you don't like the offer, but thats what it's worth to me so a threw it out there.

Also the value of those parts is only semi relative, I would have to go through the effort of parting the car to recoupe the money over time. Honestly if your that hung up on the price start parting the darn thing.

 

If you had read the multiple posts above, you would have seen that I do not have the time to part these cars out. Thats the main reason why I am selling 2 third gen tpi camaros, and a 3000.00 Holley stealth ram for 2400.00. Its pretty evident, by the multiple posts saying what a great price this, and the fact that I have a deal in place for the asking price that these were priced right.
I have no problem with someone shooting an offer out there, but I would almost quarantee that you laughed to yourself when typing 500.00. Look at the other cars for sale on this board, its tough to find ANY third gen for 500.00, let alone a 1991 z28, with the 5.7.
This is all pointless since there is a deal pending for the full asking price, however you are the one who took it upon yourself to tell me that my car was "not worth 1500.00". It may not be worth 1500.00 to you, but obviously my buyer and 4 other people who would like to buy them disagree with you.

 

i understand bargains and good deals, like finding 3-400 dollar 3rdgens here and there, but those prices (at least my experience) are ones with no titles, or shells, or shitty rollers. but that 91z is DEFFINATLY worth 1,500 or more. and honestly thats what i would pay for the 86 iroc (seems to be the one no one is even interested in lol). and just imagine if all you did was tossed in a fuel pump in that 91z, you would spend maybe $80 and maybe 3hrs of labor and turn right around and sell it for $3k!!! i want these cars so bad but just dont have the money, but i wouldnt even TRY to lowball a deal that has already been lowballed for the starting price.

 

and im still thinking of scenios day after day as to how i could come with the cash and means of transportation to get these puppys! i may sell one of mine to get them, but by then someone will have them. good luck with the sale and hopefully who ever gets them has something else on thier mind other than just parting them. im sick of seeing that on every other thread with this website.

Well I don't plan on cutting them up and parting them out. Andrew just made a couple Marines day. I'm deployed and so is my younger brother. We're going to spend next spring and summer stripping, painting, and going over every nut and bolt on those cars. It's going to be cool to have a rainbow of 3rd gen camaros sitting in my driveway.

Very few people have room for 2 project cars. Bite the bullet and split everything up. the extra money you make should more than make up for the extra time involved.

Got a local guy coming to look at everything this afternoon, and a few PM's on the cars right now. IF, everything falls through, or someone just wants the cars, the stealth ram is yours for the price you offered. Give me a day or 2, as I do not want to upset someone wants everything as a package.
The stealth ram may be all thats left in a day or so anyways, my folks are already telling me that they are going to call a scrap yard this week and have the cars taken away. I literally have to sell these cars in a few days, or they will be towed away against my will. I dont have anywhere to put them at my house.

 

hopefully you end up getting what your asking out of them, but if everything falls through, and parents end up calling a scrapper, well would you let them go for the price of scrap even? at least they will live on as decent cars, and you still get the same money from somone on here vs. a scrappers money?? sorry just had to ask
