id do 2000 for both. why wont the 86 iroc run it doesnt list why enless i missed it which i could have and the 91 z28 only needs a fuel pump and tires from what im getting

 

Waiting for an answer from the local guy on the cars, giving him the rest of today to take em, or moving on to the next person.

The 1986 Iroc ran fine when I started working on it, but the fuel pump was starting to go bad. It had a short in the original gauge cluster housing (common problem), needed brakes, exhaust, etc so I started doing all of those things to the car. In the midst of doing so, I got sidetracked, had a few months go by that turned to years, and have just never got back to the cars so they have been sitting for a few years.
The car needs the gas drained, and new put in, oil and stuff changed, and a few nickel dime things done to finish it up. The exhaust needs finished, its all there, just needs tightened up. The interior is all there, just needs the passenger seat put back in, dash pad, etc.

The 1991 Z28 needs a fuel pump, transmission tailshaft seal, and it should be driveable. The car could use tires, and a paint job but it would be completely driveable with a fuel pump, and tailshaft seal.

Giving my local guy till 5PM today to either **** or get off the pot, then they are open game. I need these things gone.

I still have the 1991 Z28, 1200.00 cash, firm, absolute lowest price I will take for it, and I need it gone this weekend, or sooner. This price is an absolute steal, for a car that needs a fuel pump to run and drive again.

Local buyer has not returned my phone calls, so that deal is gone. I have had a couple people in this thread, and through PM say they wanted the cars, but I do not have anyone yet who has said "I'll take them, I have the money, and I will pick them up this weekend".
Still waiting on somebody to buy them and I cannot stress enough how much of a factor time is. I have until Monday November 7th to get the cars out of my parents driveway, or they are going to have them removed. I do not have anywhere to put the cars at my house, I do not have the money to pay a monthly storage bill for the cars.

I cannot stress this enough, these cars both ran before I lost interest in them. They have sat for a while, and need a few things done to them to get them back on the road again, but these are not "scrapyard" cars.
They are not missing the drivetrains, or salvage titles, or gutted, or rotted to the point of no return. These are 2 complete cars, with clean titles, which could make someone a decent profit in a number of different ways.

DAMN! i just got the freaking loan to get them both! all i had left was one phone call to barrow truck and trailor. ****! i still want the iroc, but that car alone deffinatly isnt worth comming way out there for now. i had a full trip planned out for tommarow. but hopefully there will be more deals again. btw, did he take anything from the blue one? like the new exhaust or anything?

Its amazing, I put the cars on craigslist, and in 2 days, 1 of them sold for more than I was asking for both on this board, picked up, and cash in hand.

If anybody wants this Iroc, please speak up, and be prepared to make good on an offer. 500 from the bone yard plus robbing all I can off of it is sounding really tempting.

what realy bothers me is that a lube tech at work yesterday was trying to buy my black 92 rs for 2k and kept bugging me about it that whole day and this morning. but i wanted to keep my car no matter how tempting it was, and have yours too so i did the loan instead....can u imagine if i would have sold my car, and to find out u sold them this afternoon??? lol i woulda cried and killed something

It's not always the case that people here are cheap, you're on a national/international board and not your local Craigslist. We can't just hop on over to your house and buy them. I'm 9 hours away from you and if I can figure out a way to get it tomorrow while my dad is in Chicago I will do it. That would be the only feasible way of getting it for me, and it's still 6 hrs away from Chicago. Not really a hop and a skip away you know what I mean?

I looked over your post history, and you pop into a for sale thread and offer a seller a price, they accept, and you disappear. Do me a favor...STOP WASTING MY TIME.

Is 600.00 to much for a 1986 Iroc? How much are the wheels worth? Ground effects? Spoiler? POSI disc brake rear? 305 TPI engine? Hood louvers? 700r4 transmission? Brand new headers, CAT, and cat back exhaust? Seats, dash, console, gauge cluster?
How much are the sway bars, steering box, spindles worth?
How about the doors, fenders, quarter panels, hatch, front bumper, rear bumper, grid tail lights, front grill w/fog lights?
How about the radio, wiring harnesses, steering column, Z28 emblems, mirrors, Misc switches door panels, arm-rests, etc.

Take your 500.00 offer and stick it, and stop wasting my time. If you were able to read, you can clearly see that I can SCRAP the car for 500.00, and pull the wheels, gfx, nose, rear bumper, and anything else I want off of the car.

Did I mention the car has a clean title, and I already replaced the fuel pump?
Did I mention the brand new headers/CAT/ and CAT back exhaust are worth more than 500.00.

 

1986 Iroc will be scrapped on Monday if I do not find a local buyer. Holley Stealth Ram setup will be sold somewhere else. Tired of the insulting offers, on already bargain basement priced stuff, and also tired of people who make offers, and then disappear, or had no intention of making good on the offer in the first place.

 

hey sorry that i made an offer you didnt like and im not always around a computer so i cant consantly check on here. also i know the car is worth more money in all the parts but i dont have time to be parting it out. i would have bought them both but i dont have the money to spend on a car hauler to pick them up. i mean i have a car dolly but that wasnt gonna work for 2 cars. hell id pay the 600 just trying to haggle cause id have to give my buddy gas money to drive me up there to pick up the car and haul it back hell id pay 700 if it was drivable. also i wouldnt beable to pick it up for maybe like 2 weeks so if you could wait for that id be game and id buy it. so if youll take 600 and give me sometime to get up that way ill buy it if not ill keep looking for another camaro. sorry for wasting your time

 

Why make an offer, if you supposedly cant "check up" on the offer after you make it?

I bet you would pay 700 bucks for a running 1986 Iroc.....most other people in the civilized world would pay 1500.00 or better for a running 1986 Iroc. If the car was running, I wouldn't have it listed for anywhere near 600 bucks. The price, which is less money than decent cat back-exhaust system, is BECAUSE it is not running.
600 bucks...come on. It seems like there is not a day that goes by, that I dont see a 1984 base model firebird, rusted to the ground, with a carbed 305, factory wiring hacked to pieces, and air shocks jacked up to the max sitting somewhere for sale for 1500-1800 bucks.
I clearly posted in the thread, that the car is gone by Monday, or it is scrapped....dont have a choice, dont have any more time to let it sit, so no I can't wait another 2 weeks to get the car picked up.

I mean, I wouldn't go get a cart full of groceries, walk up the the checkout line then say "Oh crap, I rode my Huffy to the store....hold these for me for a few weeks".
I also wouldn't go out on Black Friday, pick up a 2000.00 TV on sale for 700 bucks, and tell the cashier....."Hey, how about 400.00 for this. I had to drive to the store, pay for gas, eat breakfest, and my electric bill is going to go up when I plug this in"

Red car is sold already, so its not getting scrapped. The thing that cracks me up is listening to a bunch of people saying "you are stupid to scrap this car"........but will not buy the complete car for 100.00 above scrap price.

Times are tough, but people are ignorant. This is a money maker for somebody, any way you cut it, and people still want more. Its not good enough to buy something for a great deal anymore, people want everything for a fraction of what its worth.

Its no wonder why all the jobs are going overseas....businesses are just as greedy, and no longer happy with a solid 40-50% profit. They want a 90% profit at the expense of some poor overworked person, who deserves much better for their efforts.

However, take a look at these people when they want to sell their stuff.....top buck, no exceptions.

Too many people with big mouths, and a 10 cent checkbook.

I got no problem with someone trying to get a good deal, but god dammit, put your money where your mouth is when the person accepts your offer...or dont bother in the first place.

He asked that you call him at 304-389-3081 if you are still interested in selling it for $600. He only lives about 2+30 south of you so you might be able to work something out to save it from the scrap yard. Thx

Sorry I didnt call. As I said in my pm I made no assumptions that it would work out, just wanted your number in case it would potentially work. My brothers open house thing at UTI didn't end till 1:00 and my dad didn't want to make a whole weekend out of picking up a $1,200 car (would've been $600 in gas easily).
