WTB: 5 speed iroc/z28
WTB: 5 speed iroc/z28
Now that my RS is gone, I'm looking for a t-5 iroc or z28 in the new england area. Id like it to be a 5.7 with a tranny swap but, realistically i'm willing to go for a 305 with a 5 speed. Car has to be in good running condition, the lower miles the better obviously. Itd be nice if the exterior didn't need any work either. I'm thinking of something around the 3000 dollar range.

3000 dollars for a 5.7 with a tranny swap in near perfect condition is a little out there. usually for a car like that to survive all this time in that condition (or to be restored to that condition) it would have to be someones "Baby" and people don't usually part with they're babys cheap. Especially in "the new england area" these cars are usually at home in warmer places like Florida or California where you can find them ALOT cheaper than in cold weather environments if you are looking for a "Good" deal I would start there. But if you are willing to look for something outside "the new england area" say KY, IL, TN or even NC you could find something in you price range
in the cars for sale section of this site. other than that look at foreclosures (Bank ones are usually the best quality) in your area also look in the classifieds, maybe post this ad there to drum up interest in your area. prices on the internet are pretty high compared to off-net ads. I'm not saying its impossible to find one in or around maine but you would do better to be flexible about the location.

Re: WTB: 5 speed iroc/z28
Traveling much farther really is out of the question. I'm not really looking for something perfect (hell, how many third gens are?) but more like decent condition. A few minor things wrong here or there but a straight body and decent running engine/tranny. I know its a long shot finding a car like that around here. I've come across a few but by the time i get to em they're sold.
Can't hurt to try though right?
