'79Z for sale/trade for third gen. Check the pics
I have this over in the wanted section but I think it will get more play here. I have a numbers matching '79 Z28 that has had a bunch of stuff done in the last 8 months. Here is a partial list.
Gas tank
Sending unit
Fuel pump
Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil
Powder coated air cleaner
Flush out of cooling system new t-stat
Rebuilt original quadrajet
Paint
Turn signal lenses w/crosshairs
New grilles
New bfg 245-60-15's
Refinished turbine wheels
New duals, true duals, turbo mufflers
Carpet, door panels and hardware, other misc interior pieces
This car runs and drives great. Very smooth and decent power for a stock motor. It sat for a little while and now I get a puff of blue smoke on start up but only if it has sat for a week or so. Small trans leak looks like it is coming from the front corner of the pan. Like I said, it is numbers matching, not modified except for a cd player and that lower dash piece can be bought in reproduction so you can have the radio holes back. It is the third fewest in a huge production year cause of its color. It may not be for everyone but it is a car you dont see a bunch of especially a Z28 in this condition. Cruise it, show it if you do that. My son and I enjoy just driving it. I value the car between $7-$8k range.
I'm looking for a 87-up Iroc, Z28, B4C, 1LE. I want a car that has not been modified too much. I like the stock look of these cars. I dont really want a project. I'll also look at convertibles and Trans Ams in those years. I'm located in Douglasville, Georgia which is west of Atlanta about 25 miles. PM for phone number or email. I'm easy going and there is no games with this car. I did not get a title when I bought it. All I have is a bill of sale and a current registration from the state of Georgia. It is currently tagged, insured and driven. Thanks for looking. Oh, the car now has floor mats that match the carpet (nice thick cut pile with Z28 embroidered in them) and front license plate holder with the '79 USA-1 tag on it.

My Father has an 81 z and the interior parts aren't that hard to get. Check classic industries and all repop places, they have most Repro Parts for these cars.

I've sold several cars out of state. All states know Georgia law and title cars with current registration. Its a Georgia thing.

One would think it would. But with a current tag, and registration any other state will accept that along with a bill of sale and title the car in your state. Trust me, I've had to deal with it more than once. The joys of buying a old car in Georgia.

I think at this point he's decided to keep it. However who knows, if he's anything like me EVERYTHING is for sale for the right price. Shoot him an email and see what he says.
