Never been to Sidney with it. Just in the south part of Cape Breton on sunny days during summer. She sees too much garage time to a point where the tires get out of round!!! Nice IROC, a classic ;-)

I'm from truro ns myself as well just picked up this gem lil over a month ago, us car lil rough around the edges but surprised with how solid for a 28 year old car
Headed to Gagetown in the spring from Ontario... Hopefully it won't be too hard to get my car to specs so I can get it licensed (LS swap with no cats).
Hey everyone. I just purchased an 89 firebird that has been stored in a heated garage for the last 14 years. The body is in great shape with rust bubbling on one wheel lip. She is completely stock for now. I am in the process of replacing all the hoses and brake lines and should finally hear her start towards the end of March.
Here's a picture.

Congrats on the Firebird acquisition!! Just put 100K on mine yesterday!
Anybody get out for run in there T/A's yet here in NS??
Must say it felt good!!!
Still too much dirt/salt/ice around the Fredericton area... My T/A is waiting in the garage for me to get out there and put in some new floors and a bunch of other smaller things to get her cleaned up... Planning on going to the Atlantic Nationals in Moncton this summer.
Did the floors in mine over the winter and getting ready for paint now. Hope to have it back on the road by the end of May. Mine I'll be the only navy blue '85 T/A in Fredericton.
Do you have your room booked for the Nationals yet? If not, I'd get on that. They sell out early.

Yeah, I have a massive drive way (seemed like a great idea last spring when I bought the house), I was done with snow blowing so I only did the bare minimum to get the vehicles out of the drive way and left it... I'm done with this winter lol.
Are you painting the exterior this spring? Doing it yourself? I'm hoping next winter I can do my heads/cam/longtubes (ls1 swap is already done) and then winter of 2018 I'll hopefully strip the body to metal, fresh paint and new door/t-top seals and door panels.
If you see an obnoxiously loud black T/A with some trashy 80s rock blasting, that's mine... I'll give you a headlight flick if I see ya.
I think we're just going to cruise up to Moncton in the mornings from Oromocto... Or maybe we will camp out close by. A bunch of guys from work get rooms, so I'll meet them in the morning at the hotel and cruise to the show with them... I'm skipping the Friday night down town as I'm not comfortable leaving the car parked with a bunch of drunks stumbling around.

My uncle is helping me with the bodywork, he's a better welder than I am and he has a big garage with a lift. It's all apart right now and he's finishing up the welding between the spot welds. I'll be painting it myself. I've done a few over the years. The body on mine is actually pretty good aside from the seam at the bottom of the driver's door and a few bubbles around the rear wheel openings. We thought it was gonna be a lot worse but it's all solid and nice and shiny under the skirts.
Does yours have a yellow stripe? If so, it sounds real good. seen it in the Brookside parking lot a few times last year.
What event is this you guys are taking about? I might be interested in coming up from Sydney NS.
And what's the date?
It's the Atlantic Nationals car show in Moncton. It's the second weekend in July. Biggest show in Canada
It's all weekend and even some stuff going on a few days before. This will my 10th time IIRC. I build car models and usually hang out around the model show area most of the weekend. They sometimes give me a nice plaque.

I only drove the car a couple times last season around Oromocto. It's all black, but I have some birds cut out to put on it and I may do the gold ground effects this summer... You won't ever really see me park it in a mall parking lot, even if I park in the furthest back corner, I'll come out to an old POS parked over the line right next to it.
Who do you use for insurance out here? Is Hagerty our only option for classic stuff?

LOL. OK, different bird then.
I don't have the car insured yet but I'm planning to have it put on the same policy as my daily driver.
I am on kijiji like everyday. Nothing there in the 85-87 style. I can get a set in New Jersey I believe it is for $200 US funds. I bought seats from this guy and had a Trucker pick them up, cost me $150 for him to bring them back.
I am waiting to hear back now from the same Trucker when he's going that way next.
Going to be expensive though with the currency difference and then to have them refinished.
