Hello From Ladysmith B.C.

Wow, I can't believe I have stumbled onto this site. AWSOME!

I have an 89 Firebird that has seen better days. A crappy paint job by GM was just the start of it's fall. A fender bender on Deerfoot Trail in Calgary in November 99 was the clincher. I have since replaced the damaged parts with other parts from the wreckers but it still looks like crap. Looks like a multiculteral car. LOL But hey, I got a kickass pair of Goodyear Eagles on it. :>

I want to get this car of mine looking good again, I was thinking of turning the exterior of the car into the Knight Rider car. I mean everybody seems to have a nice looking car, but I'm looking for something unique that is not seen on the road much.

The whole car needs an overhaul, well except the engine and tranny, the engine still puuuurrrs although I get a whiff of blue smoke upon first start up of the day.

I have question, does anyone know of any Canadian online car parts stores? Plenty of american ones, but our dollar still isn't great for the kind of purchases I'm looking at.

Anyways, thought I would just introduce myself.

Take Care
-Ron

Do you have a picture of your car? I promise I won't poke fun, nor will anyone else. Mine is primer gray with the engine and trans sitting beside it, the interior is in 50 pieces as the car is being reassembled.

Canadian online stores. There were a few posts a while ago on this, I will see if I can dig them up. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...t=camaro+parts Click and read.

Unique is cool. Make it what you want. If I had an 89 firebird I would try going with the stock GFX and perhaps a very nice set of aftermarket rims, but who am I to kid, I don't have that kind of money. Kitt is a cool look as well. I would browse readers rides so many variations. Good luck.

Hello,

Thanks for the link. I had some pictures but I got rid of them. I'll take the dig out after work and snap a few off and post them up here.

Not having the money, boy isn't that the truth eh? Heck if I had the money I would ship the car down to Boyd Coddington and let those guys have their way with the car.

I have actually done as you suggested here and there are a lot of really cool rides out there, it has given me a few ideas.

Well TTYL

no pix yet...

Because the bird had to go into the shop. My rear sway bar had a couple rotted ends and my RAD fan didn't come on, it was the sending unit. I still have it in the shop getting the rear end checked out. I'll snap some shots of it when I get it back.
