Hi Peoples,

I'm in the early stages of re doing my 89 Firebird. I need to replace the hood and driver side fender. Which is better to go with, Fiberglass or the metal parts?

The car has got a 305 in it right now and I was thinking of putting a supercharged 350 into it. This car will be going into show and shines and not on the race track. With that in mind, would it make more sense to supercharge the 305. The engine would then likely have to be rebuilt. It's got a TBI in it and so far I have found superchargers for TPI systems.

I mainly want the Supercharger for the sound that it adds to the car, and a little extra horsepower on the guttless stock 305 wouldn't hurt either.

What would you do?

Fiberglass for the hood, there's a better selection of styles available if you're looking for something non-stock. Steel for the fender, fiberglass body panels are for racing only.
