Stupid Question. Where is the block heater located??

Normally I'd never ask such a dumb question, but it's 20 below zero outside and pitch black. I'm not really in the mood to go outside and search around for it myself

Basically, I just wanted to know where the block heater is located and where the plug itself is, so I can plug it and leave it over night.

My problem is, each morning, it takes almost 30min for the heater in my IROC to start working properly 'cause the engine takes so long to warm up. The heater only kicks in pretty much once I pull into the parking lot at work

Is it on the driver's side or passenger side? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hope the car even does have a block heater

Thanks in advance.

Your car may or may not even have one, or it could be there but the cord is gone, or something to that extent.

Both of my cars 305 and 350 have them on the drivers side, second frost plug back. but the heater could have been installed in any of the frost plugs on your block.

I would start looking on the drivers side first though.

Hope that helps!
