Seatbelt recall on Canada?

Seatbelt recall on Canada?
Hello,
On transport Canada site, they say there is 2 recalls for the seatbelts on a 84 Camaro :
-One for the seatbelt buckles, from 1990 (GM recall number 90043 / 0A15)
-Another one for the seatbelt mechanism, from 1986 (GM recall number 6A02)
I called at GM dealership AND GM Canada and they was telling me it's not possible to have a recall number other than a 5 digit one, so they telling me the first recall is available but they say the second recall (from 1986) doesn't exist at all.
I have heard that safety recall doesn't expires, and I think the problem is that the first recall from 1986 was pre-computer, on paper files...
Do you have already gone to dealer to make the 6A02 recall? Do you have any information about that?
I think the GM Canada employees are just not knowing where to find these paper files and that the dealership don't have access to this info.

If GM still has parts inventory around to perform a recall on a 25 year old car, I'd be more than a little shocked. In the US the parts are long since obsolete and NLA.
That said you can find the recall parts kits on Ebay, and theyre not too difficult to install.
The recall for the retractor mechanism just deletes a goofy catch on the upper retractor. There's a thread around here somewhere that tells how to pop off the cover and disable that feature. Do a search.

There are no parts left in GM inventory for these recalls, been a few years. I remember hearing they were able to do 1 of 2 front seatbelts on a buddies car cause that was the only part GM was able to find, just the one side. And that was years ago.

I had the buckles recall done recently. At first the dealership told me it was impossible because there are no parts available. I emailed GM Canada and CC'd the dealership, asking why this recall couldn't be done. GM replied that it could be done. The next day the dealership called me and told me that the parts were in and they could do the job now. They are required to do recalls.

The next day the dealership called me and told me that the parts were in and they could do the job now. They are required to do recalls.

Sorry, I missed this question. I'm in Toronto. I had the recall done at Old Mill Cadillac Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd.
