ROCKFORD 15" XLC compared to thunder 3000?
I currently have one 15" MTX thunder 3000, running off a rockford 360a2, it pounds nice but the problem is I was going to buy it off my friend, but now he may be getting a car and may need it back. Now I am looking for a 15 to fit in the box, that has comparable if not better sound. Now how good are the rockford XLC's? I found a 15 for a pretty good price, and I was wondering if it would work in the box, and how they sound? How good are they? thanks alot!
ya know, I come on this board every day, check everything out, and when OTHER PEOPLE HAVE QUESTIONS I try to help them and answer them to my full ability. This board is basically the only thing I ever do on the internet. I ask a simple question that I know people know the answer to, they cant take 1 minute to reply. I am really into thirdgens, my brother has an 85 camaro Z28, his name on here in 85maroz28. I am in love with his car, and know alot about it. So just because I dont currently own a thirdgen, doesnt mean that Im not interested in them, and that you have to ignore me. A stereo question is a stereo question, no matter if it is in a thirdgen or not, so thanks for all the replies.

Geepers, settle down there buddy. I don't have too much experience with those subs, or 15's for that matter, but they seem pretty similar, i think rockford would have the edge though if i had to pick one. Check out their specks see what the rms of each one is and etc.
I owned XLC 15's before and i liked them. They were good subs. Im actually thinking of buying them back from the guy i sold em too because he has not used them yet..... They don't have any huge power numbers but they do the job and they have a nice low tone to them. I have never really like MTX's to much plastic. Remind me a Xplod sub in a way. Remember though XLC's are 2 years old since they made them last. None of them are brand new they are all NOS.

If your getting 15"s are you really worried about how much bass is going to come out or there? I mean either way that you go I sure you will have enough bass for your ride. BTW what kind of music are you planning to blast through there? Anyway I would go with RF all the way.
