extended warranty

Any one think that the extended warranties that are offerd at places such as Best Buy and Circut City are a load of B.S.?
What happens when the speakers you buy actually do blow 2 years later and they are so out of date that retailer cannot replace them?
I wouldn't get it unless I was extremely unlucky (as I tend to be) or just plan on blowing them... my opinion

the one year from most companies is more than enough for most people. infinity's 3-year is wonderful. but to spend more money for one is pointless to me. i dont think i've even owned a piece of equipment for a system more than a year.....
