Is this right???
Rear speaker ? - yes again!!!
Hey all.
I am gonna have a pair of components up front.
I dont have much money right now for subs - so my question was - how would i be able to get some more midbass in the mean time.
Which speaker (make/model/size) - would give me the most midbass???
By the way all speakers will be amped???
And im assuming that it is ok - to go with different manufacturers in the front and rear???
Thanks
Jay

i wouldn't be worried about differant manufaturers but personally i'd go with all infinity and some type of 4x50 amp. if you mess with the fade and eq levels right on you're cd player you should be able to get some decent base out of the 6x9's or get two differant 50x2 amps and use the lp crossover with the 6x9.

You should try to use the same brand, model, and even size if possible in the front and rear. The more alike the front & rear speakers sound, the more evenly balanced it'll be.
Any quality 6.5" component system should provide tolerable bass and midbass output until you can get subs. 5 1/4s and 4" components are fairly hopeless regardless of the brand. If you go with small crap like that, you should probably go with bigger stuff in the back to help compensate. Either 6.5" components or 6x9 coaxials.

Hey - i figured that would make sense. But since some ppl dont have rear fill speakers - like u Jim - i thought it wouldnt matter much since its rear fill that youre not supposed to hear much of anyway!!!
Ok second issue - is it better to go with round speakers at the back - or are my impulse 6x9's ok??? I could just get impulse 6.5" comps for the front - which was the initial plan. But ive heard other speakers and the impulse series doesnt seem too sweet now???
I am open to any suggestions - ive been changing systems too many times!!! Right now ive got the Alpine 7909 HU - that stays - everything else im open to suggestions.
Thanks
Might as well add that ive got kicks made by djsexay (6.5")!!!
