I think my amp is fubar...help!

Okay, here's the skinny: Jensen (ugh!) XA2150 amp has been runnning one 12 in bridged mode for about 6 months now. I've been redoing all the stereo in my car, and now, it won't work. Powers up just fine, but instead of producing signal through the speaker outputs, it just sends a constant voltage of 7.xx volts to the sub. I'm currently using the speaker-level inputs, and can't test the line levels, because this deck doesn't have any. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

try getting a line level converter, so that you can have the RCA's instead of the speaker connections. Then you will know if its the amp, or the convertor in the amp that converts the speaker signal for the amp.

If its sending 7.xxx voltage you could have a bad amp. Do the woofer move or pop when you hook up the speaker outputs? Try this with the signal in and out.

Caleb: I'm gonna just use my discman and it's line level outputs to test that part

HI92Z28: Yes, the woofer does move when it's connected. What exactly do you mean about the line in and out?
