Help fast (bridging my US amp)
Will someone please show me how to bridge my amp to my 2 10's! My amp says "Bridge R+ and L-" Below I have a picture of my amp and subs. Now can you just connect the lines. And yes my amp is bridgiable(sp?).
Thanks for your help,
Tim

Just connect the R+ to the + on one sub and the L- to the - on the other sub and connect the remaining + and - from both subs to each other. This is assuming both of your subs are 4 ohms. Wiring it this way your amp will see a total impedance of 8 ohms. You can also wire the subs this way: R+ to the + on both subs and L- to the - on both subs. This will bring the impedance down to 2 ohms but, if the amp isn't rated to handle 2 ohm impedances, the amp can overheat. Wiring it up the first way is the safest way but, the amp won't produce as much power. The second way will produce a lot more power but can damage your amp if it is not designed to handle the load.
Thanks for the quick reply! Thank you. Oh and i done what you said to do the second time and my amp would play for like a second them the amp would shut off. And my amp says it is 2ohm stable?

ya its 2 ohm stable when your not in bridged mode, when you bridge it to 2 ohm, the amp essentially sees a 1 ohm load, and thats why it goes into protection mode.
