first of all your going to have to make a box to fit in the rear and depending on the box you can fit two 15s two 12s two 10s four 8s what ever you want. you just have to build a box for it. personally two 12s is the way to go but i want to build a box for four 8s i think that woudl be awesome

Would 15's be too big, cause most ppl seem to have 12's

where can i get the box, that is what i see as being the most important thing right now

or does someone ahve diagrams or pics of there box being assembled, i may try to make my own, what material should it be made from, i suppose i could get it done at a audio shop but i bet that will be expensive

I figure you could fit about 15 or 20 fifteens in the back of your car.

Seriously, though, it's not the size of the driver that is gonna be the biggest factor - it's the size of the box. Not all subs are created equal. For instance, one 12 might work really well in a 0.5 ft3 sealed box. Another, might need a 4.0 ft3 vented box to work just as well. The box size will be totally dependent on the brand/model of the sub that you get.

Generally speaking, however, a 10 will have a smaller box than a 12 which will have a smaller box than a 15 (for a given brand/model). Also, a sealed box will be smaller than a ported box. You can also have a box smaller than the basic sealed version or a box bigger than the basic ported version.

Your first step is to decide what you want. Do you want the system to take up the entire back of the car including the back seat area? You you want the subs to fit completely down in the well area or just in the area where the spare tire is? Or somewhere inbetween? Do you want 1 sub? 2? 3? 4? Do you want a sealed box or ported box? Do you want an accurate bottom end or the loudest boom you can get?

What I would do (since you've decided on Panasonic) is to get the specs for all of the subs that they have available. Then see what they recommend for box types and sizes. Now make a rough estimate the size of the space available in your car that you can use for a sub box. How many cubic feet is this? Lets say, for example, that you estimate that you have 4 ft3 that you could use for a sub box. Look at the specs for the subs. Lets say, for example, the 15 requires 1.75 ft3, then you could use two of them. But if the 15 requires 2.5 ft3, then you can only fit one. Lets say that the 10 only requires 1 ft3, then maybe you could use 4 tens. See how this works?

You than have to consider how to mount the subs. Let's assume the space for the box isn't 40+ inches wide. You might think you can't fit 4 tens is a space that isn't 40" wide. But what if you stagger or/and angle them? The box becomes more complicated but you can make it work if you want.

So to answer your question "what is that largest size subs i can put in the back ". I'm sure you could fit an 18" back there. Other people have done 1 15 or 2 15s or 3 12s or 2 12s or 4 10s or 1 10 or 1 8 ..... you get the picture.

So the first question you should answer is - Why do you want to fit the largest sub possible in the back of your car?

Just keep in mind that one 10 can be louder than a 12, or three 12s could be louder than two 15s, or three 10s could be louder than a 15, ... and so on, and so on. The diameter of the sub is only one (of many) factor(s) that determines how loud the system will be.
