ok... two sub setups: 2 12" subs of the same brand at 200 watts each = 400 watts total, or one 12" sub of the same brand again at 400 watts... will they be equally loud since they have the same wattage? or does the number of subs play any sort of factor in this...?? thanks for helping me with my neglected car audio info hehe

ive been thinking... one kicker solo baric 12" square sub... or 2 12" round lower power subs... cant decide, i would think the 2 would sound better because theres more... can one of those L7's really blow u away fully powered with a really strong amp? its either that or 2 comp VR's... decisions decisions

 

If you have a good amplifier, the more the better ex. ( 2 10's are better than 1 12" )

 

bro if u have one 12" L7 believe me it will pound so much louder than 2 10s comp vrs they dont even compare to the L7 if u power it up enough ur ears will be ringing for days

 

More drivers is always the way to go for louder. By adding an extra driver, you increase your SPL by 6dB. By doubling amplifier power, you increase SPL by only 3dB.
