Kicker Comp 18" subs

I aquired a pair of kicker comp vr 18's today. I was thinking of hooking each one up to a Alpine 1507 amp, I have not heard alot about kicker subs, I have always put Rockford subs in all my cars, excpt in this one I currently have a pair of 12" Alpine typr r', My questions are, are kicker subs any good? Where would I put a box big enough to hold a piar of 18's? I'm thinking about taking out my back seat. Will the 1507's be enough to power to run these subs?

Does Kicker make a good sub? Hell yeah. The Comp VR's are a mid-level sub, very comparable to the Alpine Type R's.

Alpine Type R's are MUCH better I think than the Vr's. Alpine has a much clearer sound than Kicker. Except for Kicker Solo-Barics. Kicker is upper entry level. Alpine R's are for more serious people about there sounds.

18s are really good for high spl and competitions... but i always thought they sucked when it came to sound quality and all..
