Damn rattling!!!
Ok, so I just replaced all my speakers with some rockford fosgate ones and all I can say is WOW! My car is bumpin and I don't even have an amp! But anyways, now that I have more bass and everything, I noticed a bad rattle. It's coming from the third brake light inside the car. It's the style on 1990 and up I think. Does anyone else have this problem? How can I fix it? Thanks if any of you can help!
find exactly what is rattling and isolate it, do that by either foam (do NOT use Great Stuff expanding foam!!!), sound deadedner, an old rag, etc etc. There isn't a science to eliminating rattles. If two pieces are rattling/buzzing together, then you need something to seperate it (something soft that won't make its own noise).

exactly.
i wouldn't suggest doing this, but i was desperate: when i found the rattle in my car a long time ago, i used old popsicle sticks to separate the two pieces. i was the very definition of "ghetto."

Well see, the third brake light in my car is held on by like a rubber cement type glue. I can't stick anything between the light and the glass, because it would look like total A$$! Maybe I should get some kind of rubbery clear glue and reglue. See crazyhawaiian (spelling?) has the right idea! I would superglue, but what if that doesn't fix it? Then I'll NEVER get it off to fix! LOL
