Image Dynamics IDQ 12's...

now that i have my rockford 800.2 amp, im looking for subs. i want a good sound quality subs, that can still rumble the inside of my car, i dont care if it doesnt rock mail boxes down the street, i want it to sound good inside the car.

will the image dynamics IDQ's do that? i heard they are really nice for sound quality.. but are they gonna let me feel the bass when i want and get pretty loud? they are rated at 350 rms, they'll be getting 400 each, and im crossed between these and kappa perfect's.

thanks a lot

oh yea, im looking to get two 12" subs in a sealed box.

you will definately be happier with the ID max than the infinity's, it will be able to rumble you and the mailbox with just one of them

im sticking with the IDQ's... not the IDmax's. the idmax is like 700 watts more, and 250$ more epxpensive lol

On ebay you can get MAX's for a little over $300, retail is $450....with the max (and not 2 IDQ's) you will have more space and really NICE sub, get LOUD, plays LOW and does it very CLEANLY. The Adire Brahma (and for rich folks the JL W7) is the only sub I would say is better than the max.....and its better in all respects except efficiency, but it makes up big time with tons of power handling. hehe

I know, I have one (IDMAX that is..wanting a brahma).

Fosgate and Image Dynamics a winning combo

I had 2 800.2's and 2 IDQ 12's in the back of my z and they did very good. the sound was right for what i was looking for and it also hit pretty hard.... 145 db at the last competition it was in. for normal listening, i had the sub out on my head unit turned down to about 4, for comp i cranked it. oh, i got 2nd in the comp. dam wood....kept flexing

Image Dynamics are good SQ wise. As far as 'bump' goes, almost any set of 2 decent 12" subs in a sealed box provided with enough power in a 3rd gen car will rattle your eyeballs.
