subs for BP1200.1
subs for BP1200.1
does anyone have a JBL BP1200.1 amp? im thinking i might buy either the BP1200.1 or the MTX Thunder 81000D. also, what are some subs that could handle those amps? (at least 12")
There are alot of speakers that work well with the JBL 1200.1

so best is to find a local dealer, or several, and see what they have to offer. Give them a listen, and choose what you like, and fits you wallet.
Good luck!

I have the JBL 1200.1. Right now i'm running 2 12" audiobahn (aw1200x) and it's loud. I had three running but blew one. After i replace my 2 blown ones i'm gonna put all 4 in but make sure you buy a cap. Due to my amp sucking so much power i ripped apart 2 subs. You could even be safe with a JBL 600.1. Friends got 1 running 2 12" autotek MX's and it's loud as hell.
A cap might help, but make sure you have the right voltage getting to the amp. So make sure you wire is big enough also to carry that current.
Blowing two subs sounds odd, so I also would check the enclosure. If the chambers are sealed, make sure they are sealed.
Also, where are you gains set?
Check these first, but if there is still a probelm somewhere in the system, you could potentailly hurt the new woofers you just replace.

They both blew because of the amp suckin so much juice. My lights damn near shut off and when the current jumps like that it's pretty much like goin from A/C to D/C and so on.....so then the subs just go.
