help with a cavalier.... please help me.... urgent

i know its not a thirdgen, but you are the only people i have to turn to...

my brother just bought my kicker amp and he has a 2000 cavalier...
how do we get the darn face plate off from around the radio... its driving me nuts... i can't find any screws or anything anywhere and it doesn't seem to snap off so I'm at a loss...

please let me know something very soon.... thank you so much

well, your gonna have a fun time.

to get the deck out you have to take off the entire dash pad. there are a few screws in the glove box, in the vent at the top, and you gotta pull off the sides and there is a few in there.

once you know what u are doing it isn't that hard but your first time will be great fun.

new gm cars are a pain in the butt to replace the head units. you have to freakin take the dash apart. i know it costs, but i'd suggest taking it somewhere and having them do it to save you a headache.

My Friend has a 2000 Cavy. It took us 8 hours trying to get the damn thing off. I tried ripping it off. Come to realize that he didn't read the instructions right and he took out 2 wrong screws. He left the two in the glove compartment in there. I was pist. He paid me not to hit the hell out of him.
