Alpine Typs S DVC 4-Ohm... Wiring Help!

Ok... I went 2 the Rockford Fosgate wiring wizard and all. But, I ordered 2 Alpine Type-S 10" SVC 4-Ohm subs... the SWS-1041... I GOT... 2 Alpine Typs-S 10" DVC 4-Ohm subs... the SWS-1041D... I get my amps in Monday and the amp I was using for subs was gonna be the USX2100 **US Acoustics** Well... the specs are...

100x2 @ 4 Ohms
300x1 Bridged RMS
150x2 @ 2 Ohms

I was gonna wire the 2 4 Ohm subs @ 2 Ohms to get 150W to each sub... well... UPS still hasn't came back 2 pick the subs up and return them so I could get the ones I wanted so is there ANY way I can wire the DVC 4-Ohms in 2-Ohms? Or should I send them back and get the SVC 4-Ohm version? Thanks!

Wire the coils in series (+ to +, - to -) which will present a 2 ohm load to the amp per channel. It sounds to me like this is what you were looking for in the first place.

If you have 2 SVC 4 ohm subs wired in series, that makes 2 ohms, and presented to a bridged pair of amp channels, a 1 ohm load. Make sure your amp can do this if you get the SVC subs. I would hang onto the DVC subs myself...

Check your specs in the owners manual... Another thing to consider is this. By reading the specs you posted, it seems your amp is stable to 2 ohms bridged. An amp accomplishes this by fooling itself into thinking it is driving a lower ohm load, so if you present a 2 ohm load to a bridged pair of channels on an amp, it will 'see' a 1 ohm load. Either way, your amp is speced to be 300 watts RMS bridged, which is exactly what you would get with 2 channel, 2 ohm operation. Using 2 channels will be easier on the amp, and do the same thing as the other configuration, except you can do it right now, instead of waiting for the other drivers to arrive
