i had one i got for $99, it works good and doesnt skip or anything, but.. its a lot worse than, say, alpine or kenwood.. low voltage preouts, distorts with minimal volume increases.. id say put up an extra 50 bucks and get a nice kenwood/alpine unit...

Blaupunkt has been making pretty nice stuff for quite a while now. I wouldnt say they are top of the line but they have some really nice decks for not a whole lot of money.

yea i guess my point was, the deck worked well for my application (no amps, ghetto car, no plans for upgrades).. if you do plan to add an amp, or some subs.. id take a look at alpine and kenwood

From what it sounds i think that it would do just fine for you. You might want to see what else there is for that price and compare the specs. You might want to look at Aiwa, the make a nice deck for not alot of money. I got my MP3 cd player for $200. Does just fine for me until I am willing(or wife will let me) spend some serious money.
