Just an Idea about a guitar amp........

Man when I'm at someone's house and the guitar (BC Rich) is @ home I'm thinking Damn I wish I was playing it right now! So why not implant a guitar amp into the speaker box. So you can just plug the guitar right in the spare speaker and Jam! I have a power converter that I can use. It even shuts itself off before it kills you battery. Cool shat, what do you thinkż

Are you talking about playing your guitar through the subs? Or all of your speakers? Either way I dont think it would sound that good. Why dont you just get one of those little amps with headphones that fit on your belt? They are not a half stack but they do the job when you have nothing else. What kind of BC Rich do you have?

I was thinking about putting a guitar speaker in there. Just one only for the Guitar. I have the Warlock going into a RP12 Digitech effects processor (expensive shat!) going to a 8" Marshall. Yeah, yeah I know WTF a 8" Well it does get pretty loud in a apartment. I have a 4X12" Cab but no speakers or amp for that. After playing around with that digitech effects processor the belt clip is a sin to wear. It just doesnt sound right. But yeah I just wanted to add another speaker in there for the Guitar. There is no way my car speakers can give me the sound of a full range guitar amp. Hmm here is a new Idea. Putting studio quality speakers in a car. Have you ever heard some good studio monitor speakers? Or that 18" cerwin vega. The dude at guitar center Kranked it, man was that loud.

My basic goal is to have studio quality sound in the car, but trying to put studio reference monitors in a car is like throwing a grand or two out the window. Studio monitors hate being bounced around, and are especially sensitive to climate changes... so the car couldn't be a worse place.
Your best bet is to look up some Infinitys or other high end speakers, as long as they're not high-end just because they blow people away at SPL competitions. These speakers are fantastic at giving you lots of volume, but accurate sonic reproduction is severly compromised. You want every speaker in your car to give out the flattest and broadest frequency response possible. Stick with round (not oval or square) component speakers (none of those three or four way contraptions), and try to mount everything (except tweeters) in boxes that are built to specs for a flat, broad frequency response. As far as tweeters go, you just have to find which ones will suit your needs to put out enough power and cover whatever high frequencies your other speakers can't handle. Crossovers and EQs are pretty much a necessity when trying to get studio quality sound, so you may want to look into these, as well. Good luck!
