Hi Guys,

I'm looking to get some 6.5"s soon to put in my Gen. 1 DJ Sexay Kicks, and wanted to get your feedback. I'm looking at their 6.5 separates...Either the DSD 215s or the PSD 215s. I do need to go and listen to some ASAP, but do any of you have experience with these?

If not, which separates are you guys running??

I listen to mostly hard rock/alternative (which is really maninstream anymore) and am looking for STRONG MID-BASS...

I'll be pushing these with a Soundstream 5 channel amp (Ref 405) if that makes a difference. I think they claim 25 watts, but I'm sure that it's underrated...

while you're out listening to speakers, you should check out infinity perfect components too.

 

Strong mid-bass eh? Diamon Audio M5 components will fit that bill. JL XR's have good mid-bass as well. Focal, Dynaudio, ID or any other good company. Also remember, key to getting the best midbass is having the right enclosure size.
