cd player skips more then it plays!!!
ok guys i have a new aiwa headunit and it was like 150 bucks and i can;t even listen to cds in my car.the damn thing skips so bad its awful. like it skipd when i shift, if i breath on it it skips lol. now i thought for sure that it would be as good as a stock cd player but this things rediculos. wut could cause this prob and how can i fix it cause its off warenty. thanks guys
The usual way is with the metal bracket that comes with the head unit. I had an Aiwa once (tape deck) and it worked well enough. They come with a metal bracket that you can bend to connect the back of the headunit to some part of the frame above it.

OK, when you say mounting tabs, your not referring to the metal tabs in the head unit sleve are you?... Lets take a moment and find some things out. Is this a brand new unit? If so it should have come with a metal sleve that you mount into the stereo opening and then when secured you slide the head unit into it. Now on most of the aftermarket units the head unit is smaller than the opening and you need a bottom spacer that holds the unit level and also has a protrusion at the back that lines up with a groove (hole) in the back of the dash. without the spacer or the attachment to lock into the back tab the unit will bounce all over the place in the dash. Thats #1. If you have that, then all you need to do is screw the casing into the dash in the front with 4 screws and your set. Let me know what you do and don't have and we can go from there to locking your deck into place.
he means, the right side clip for the screws (ex factory radio mounting screws) is broken off completely ... he can bolt the left side in but not the right, so it just hangs there.

yes i know wut i need, i have the install kit and yes the head unit is brand neww.wut i am talking about is the actual radio pod that the heater controls and the radio bolt into, on this the right hand side plastic tab is broke off where mount the radio or install kit i guess, so the radio is only mounted on one side of the car.

If you still have the broken off plastic pieces then you can use some Devcon Plastic Welder and secure the original pieces back together. ( this stuff really works on the plastic trim pieces). Or if the peices are lost you can get some flat hard plastic or aluminum, trim it to fit and secure it the same way. This is probably the best way to secure the head unit. I'm still curious how your deck flops around enough that the cd skips all the time though. I can remove my right side screws and with the left in place plus the sleve locater it holds pretty good, but everyones car is different. Let me know if this will help or if I'm still missing something and I'll try my best to help you. good luck.
