i just bought my 92 camaro rs with the bose system. the head unit lights up and works and the radio works but there is no sound. i checked the fuse and its find. what else should i check and what could be the problem

 

You probably need new Amps,........ the BOSE system uses an amplifier at EACH speaker to boost the sound levels. That is the first place you should to start.

You should have a speaker & AMP in each kick panel and 2 woofers with AMPs in the rear hatch lid if your car is equiped with BOSE.

If you find that you have 2 speakers in the dash and 2 speakers next to the rear seats than someone stuck a BOSE deck in the car and that may be why you are not hearing any sound. The BOSE head unit puts out a much weaker signal than a "normal" factory head unit.

 

Double check for speaker wires that are grounded out before you do anything else. Check the signal wires from the HU to the amps, and then from the amps to the speakers.
