might know what this is.

K this is about my home stereo setup. Let me explain how its all setup.

This is a listed of what I have in my living room and dining room.

2 cerwin vega 12" floor speakers. (On A channel in living room)

2 8" floor speakers (On B channel in dining room)

Creative extigy 24 bit sound blaster
Front right and front left go to the reciver in the video input

Using the computer as an audio source

Fisher fake surround receiver

K two the cerwins are hooked up and playing now
one 8" floor speaker is hooked up
The other 8 was disconnected cuz I had it out side the other day.
So hooking the one floor 8" back up today with those 3 speakers playing I accidentally crossed the wires and everything got louder and more clear! WTF I said I would like to keep it that way but I'm afraid its going to fry something.

K well maybe if you have all the channels on the hooked up the speaker that makes it sound kinda shiesty. I hooked up all the speakers and set the EAX on the 24 bit Extigy and it sounds better that ever. OH MY *** it sounds Clear and bad azz. I would recommend one to every one. I got it for 130 as an open Idem.

In my experience most amplifiers that have a A/B speaker switch on them will drive the A+B speakers in series if selected.

Remove the short and check if both channels of the 12" jobs are actually running. I would be surprised if they are. As long as this is the case, the short won't hurt a thing.

congratulations, you just bridged your amp ...leave it be, ...check the wires after playing the speakers for 5 minutes, if they are hot, undo it, if the amp gets real hot, undo it, ..just watch the heat, you could fry the amp
