Good 10's?
SUbwoofers.... I need two 10" subs for under 100 bucks canadian each.... any good ones?
Remember I have a particle board box. so keep that in mind, also please don't tell me thaty I should get an MDF box, because I have already heard it

ok, well since you're gonna skimp on the box I say find the cheapst namebrand 10's you can. i usually dont trust buying amps or speakers over the internet. look for some local deals. At my local Circuit City they have a deal on 2 'ok' 12" subs for $100 or 2 'ok' 10" subs for $80. JBL, MTX, it will be something like that. avoid no-name brands.
if you ever decide to redo it right later, i would recommend the JL audio 10w6 subs with a custom made MDF box with exact 10w6 airspace requirements. i have a single 10w6 in my truck and it hits lows like a 12 (just not as loud). one of the best 10's i've ever heard.

i think you can get kicker comp vr 10s for under $100 apeice. fosgate would be another decent choice. i would suggest going to your local stereo shop and listening to what they have. you could always listen to it there then find it cheaper on the net or something.

there's something i've learned over the years. why buy two cheap subs when you can buy one good one? if you buy one good sub, you can always add a second good one later on if you need more. one good sub will put out more than two cheap ones and sound better. when i was lookin for subs, i bought a single type-r 12 on the premise that if i wasnt happy with the single 12, i could always buy another. what i found was that the one r was better sounding and hit harder than my two cheap jbls, so i've stuck with my single. more is not always better.....
amen , you get what you pay for, especially with car audio....ut in my opinion more is always better, but then again this is comming from a man who had a lanzar 50C and 8 12's in his car at half an ohm :hail:

we had a fosgate amp at the place i worked early this year that was similar to that. i think it was also 1/2 ohm stable and rated at 50 watts @ 4 ohms. we never used it on anything while we there and i think one of our sister stores took it for use or something like that.
man i love technology

ah remote controls are a wonderful thing, ...if only i could get ahold of an old panasonic g-shock cd player, ...those held up to some punishment. the ones from 97-98 were the best cd player ive ever seen, ....anti skip proof i mean....
I could not go to comps without my remote control. Theres no way im sitting in the car with it cranked.
But of course, I guess I could hop in the car turn on the music and get out real quick. :sillylol:

I really liked my OZ's, which i bought when i was really short on cash, they were pretty good, but went bad quick. If you can't get some of those, maybe some low-end MTX's or something. If you go to a local cheapie-stereo shop, guarantee you'll find something.

i have to have a blurb on the MTX 4000 series. i got the buy one get on free and those were some amazing subs for the price. i was quite proud of them and if i was doing a budget install again, i wouldn't hesitate to go back.
