remove back seat?

For a winter project along w/ painting my car, i was thinking of removing my backseat and molding a box to fix the compartment. Anyone ever do this to a camaro or have any pics? Thanks

Haven't seen it or tried it, and Im scared to really. If you get in a head on collision or even a form of head on, that box will *** you up from behind. Its better to put one in the well...if you do put it in the back seat, make sure its fastened down GOOD. I've seen it before, a kid around here had a box on top of the gas tank and hit a deer, that box damn near took his head off, he had a huge gash in the back of his head, had a ton of stitches. He was really lucky...

Hey Ive thought about something very close to that, except im removing my back seat and making kind of a storage. Theres gonna be a little push open door between the seats and from there I can put whatever down in there.I ve got a few ideas on how to go about it, but I also dont want to add alot of weight when I do this.
