anyone thats built/used fiberglass
I layed the first layer of fiberglass for my box on thanksgiving day, now i have a few ?'s
1- It is flimsy, do i need to put it back in the car when i do the next layer, or not?
2- Is it possible to get 4cubic fett out of our hatches using fiberglass?
3- How many layers till it will be "strong enough"
Will post pictures ASAP they will be b/w thats all that was in my camero from photography class

you can see pics of my box in the thread called 4 15's... but its about an 1/8" thick and its getting another layer and i have roughly 4ft of air space, but i had to give up my back seats, i would recomend atleast 3 layers that way there arent and tiny pinholes, and i did all my work out side of the car except the first layer, just be careful i was working on a corner of mine and me being retarded i wasnt thinking and i accedently flicked fiberglass resing in my face...it burned and my face felt itchey all day...
have fun.

plan on running 2 12 SE subs from www.respl.com they take 600RMS each but they call for 2 cubic feet for a ported box, so i was gonna try that, and if i cant get the room then i will go sealed.

Caleb,
You should be more concerned with the stiffness of the box rather than the # of layers you put down. Different materials soak up different amounts of resin, so it might take you a different amount of layers to reach a good stiffness compared to other peoples work depending on what kind of material (i.e. fleece, chop mat, etc) you're making the box out of.
