What did I blow?
I was hooking up my new stereo and the orange wire accidentally grounded out and blew the fuse in the block. I replaced it but the power to the orange wire has not returned. Is there another fuse somewhere that I popped?
Thanks,
Roy

IIRC, the orange wire is the dimmer right?
Check all the fuses. Every single one.
If it is the dimmer, it shouldn't have power until you turn on the Headlights/Parking lights.
It's been two years since I installed my stereo, so my memory may not serve me well.

Yes I would take a test light to all the fuses, check them all. What knid of car are we speaking of?? Now I'm not trying to lecture you here, but. You should NEVER install any electronic device with the power hooked up! Find you power wires and you ground first, then disconnect the battery. Simple as that.
I hope you didn't have the stereo plugged in too when this happened??? If so you may have blow the internal amp or the fuse in the radio itself. I do hope you find the problem, but in the future more care, can save you alot more time in the longrun. Plus save you from frying anything worth $$$$$.
Oh and by the way. Welcome to the board! There is lots to be learned here. Any many very knowledgeable people too. Enjoy!
