how to use theftlock???

hey guys,

i got a monsoon tape deck from a 98 firebird. i installed it and its absolutely great.

anyways, it has the theftlock feature, but it was disengaged when i bought it. (i think the code is written on top of the deck, not sure).

first of all, is it possible for me to use the theftlock feature in my car, which was not originally equipped with theftlock (i have a 91 firebird)?

if so, how exactly do you use it? i mean, where and when do you punch in the code?

thanks

It will work, just hope you do have the code #..IF so hook her up..It will say "LOC" use the Hr/Min buttons to enter the code then hit the Select button...should turn on for you...If not and you do it more then 3 times you will hav to leave is on for a full hour to try again. The hour button works the first 2 digits...the Min. button works the last 2...don't get worried if it is a 3 digit code # just use the hour button to climb to that # so if the code is say 347...use the hour button to get to 03..and teh minute button to get the 47...hope this helps you???
