my cd player won't accept CD's

I have a pioneer DEH-P7000 its about 3 yrs. old. Anyways, about a month ago it started to not take my cd's when I put them in the slot. It ejects them fine, it just can't grap them and pull them in. I can get them to go in if I turn my key off, and then back on and try it again. It usually takes 5-8 tries before it finally accepts it. This is a pain because I can't change my cd's on the road. I half to stop, shut my car off, turn it back on and keep trying until it takes it. Is there something I can replace in my deck to get it to take cd's. I really don't want to go out and buy another one for at least another year or so. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

the grabbing mechanism is partially broken... with the troubles and expenses and time that would cost you to fix....your a lot better off getting a new player..man, you can save soo much on ebay..try there..if not..try to find one used or a cheap new one...it will be a lot cheaper than fixing a loading mechanism...
