Infinity Basslink!

I just bought the Infinity Basslink. It's a 10" sub with the amp built in. Just thought I'd tell you guys that this sub goes great with these cars! It doesn't take up a lot of space which is good because we don't have a lot. It will even fit in the spare ire compartment, but I just have mine sitting on the deck behind the back seats. It's also totally enclosed in a metal and plastic housing so you don't really have to worry about it getting damaged if you put something back there with it. I can also pull my deck cover over it to hide it. The sound is awesome. Nice and crisp Bass and it has a remote gain control with it. It may not win one of those Bass competitions, but it is VERY loud. If I turn it halfway up, it's vibrating the whole car. I don't need to do brain damage to myself. But this thing sounds good and was very easy to install. Just thought I'd spread the word! Matt

I'm not sure where you can get one. Might try Best Buy or Circuit City. I'm in the Air Force and picked mine up at the base exchange for $280. Tax free of course! You will need an install kit. I went ahead and got the nice one. It's called Monste Cable. Came with everything I needed. It was about $70. You can get one for around $20. You need a 12 guage wire to run from your battery back to the amp, and one for the ground wire. Then you need a couple RCA cables that go from your radio to the amp. If you do that, you'll need a thin wire that also goes from your radio to amp to let the amp know that the radio is on. If you wire it into your speakers, you don't need that. I'm telling you, you don't want to wire it into your speakers. It would suck. If your radio isn't a factory radio, it will most likely have RCA outputs if it were made in the last 15 years. Easy to hook up. The more and more I listen to this thing, the more I like it. It hits hard, and I can feel the hair on my head and eyebrows vibrating from all the bass! Matt

Yep. I still haven't mounted mine. It's just sitting on the shelf. It hasn't moved and I've been accelerating, hauling *** around corners etc. Your radio should have a wire coming off the back, usually light blue in color. Usually they say AMP on them. That's the wire you hook up to let the amp know that the radio is on. It sounds great. If you just want your music to sound really good, and be able to hear and feel the bass on the highway with the windows down, this is all you need. I don't see the need to give myself brain damage with a big expensive system! Matt

I've been thinking about getting one of these as well maybe as opposed to building my own box. I want to be able to still use my t-top storage bag is my main concern. Does the amp on it heat up much at all? I guess my concern would be if I put it down in the rear well I'm afraid it would overheat or something. Did it vibrate your car much? I don't like rattles... but yet I want some bass. I'm running an aftermarket Pioneer headunit right now with 3-way Pioneers in the sail panels and the bass is HORRIBLE. On the highway the bass is INEXISTANT! Thanks in advance!

rattles and heat

the only thing on my car that rattles is the rear license plate, but i have the interior completly taken out right now.

the heat sink barely heats up at all, i measured 10 degrees F over ambient when i was setting it up.
