Aaargh....my doors are making my system sound awful

I just put a bunch of stereo equipment in my '92 Firebird over the past couple weeks, and it sounds great except for the fact that both my doors rattle and squeak like a **** at the slightest hint of bass. I think on the drivers side, it's just the sideview mirror housing that needs to be tightened up a bit. I'm not sure about the passenger side, but it is definately the worse of the two. What probably needs to be tightened? I was thinking of removing the door panel and just tightening every bolt in sight, but I don't want to accidently misadjust the window or something. Any info/tips/etc that would be helpful is appreciated.

im in the same boat as you. try it with with two jl w0's. it freakin rattles my brothers car when he's next to me. deffinately tighten some screws. if you have a chilton's manual you can find all the screws that you are able to tighten.

I know my door handle (outer) is loose on the driver's side causing a lot of noise. Also look into the vent louvers on the body, where the striker for the door latch is. Those historically make a lot of noise.

The rod for the door lock and door handle often times cause a lot of trouble if the little spacer for them falls out. If it does you can get a little piece of foam and but it between the door and the rods. Once you take off the door panel you'll see what I mean.

definately take the doors apart and tighten all the bolts, if you wanna go the extra couple yards... save up some money for a little dynamat, or a cheap alternative that's better in quality - B-Quiet Brown Bread. http://www.b-quiet.com/ It isn't too much money and will definately deaden your doors for you.
