really its up to you ...I dont really see why you wouldnt put them in the hole? It seems perfect... the second i saw that hole it just Screamed "SUBS!!!"....lol

You can, but often times the size required for the subs makes the enclosure so large that a) you can't see out the back b) the back hatch won't close c) it becomes a big giant neon "steal me" sign. Plenty of people have put their subs up there, but IMHO, it looks a ton better down in the well. On top of the hump just has that "I bought my subs and box at walmart and put it in myself" look. (not to knock walmart, they have plenty of fine products, just not in the car audio department)
