what size din do i need for a cd player to go in my camaro?

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
Most aftermarket CD players are 1 DIN (aka "single DIN"). The factory CD/Casette players are 1.5 DIN.
Pioneer makes a 1.5 DIN that you can use to fill up the entire area so you don't need a mounting bracket. I'm not sure if it's too deep for our cars though.
Just to help you a little more..... most EQ's are .5 DIN. A few people here have put a single DIN CD player and a 1/2 DIN EQ in the factory location, if that's of any interest to you.
