need help with new sony headunit(CDXCA810X) and also sony cd changer

so i bought this new headunit yesterday http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.js...rk_5&oid=68191 , installed it and everything, got the speaker amp plugged into the 2 preamps, the sub amp plugged into the mono sub preamp or whatever, got all the power and ground and constant and stuff wired up.....now the problem, if i have it on the tuner sound comes out like normal BUT if i put in a CD it shows the little thing moving around showing that its playin the song and puttin sound out but there is no sound out of my speakers....do i need to wire the actual speaker wires into the amp too? i thought the preamps should do everything right? and also my sony cd changer(its like years old) i had it hooked up to my old kenwood headunit with the seperate controller and it worked fine but now the sony has the direct control option where u can control it from the headunit so i plug it into the back and plug the black cord into the back too(no other wires to be plugged after the red white and black) and then when i try to use it it says "no cartridge" and then for the past year i been having this problem and havent been able to get my cds out of the darn thing too cuz its stuck inside, its like theres not power gettin to it or somethin....do u think maybe one of the wires is cut or am i just an idiot and forgot to do something?

Damn we didn't get to ya soon enough.....Sony stuff sucks some major butt in the last few years, they don't really build the quality products that they were known for a few years back....you could have gotten better for cheaper and you most likely would not be in the prediciment that you are in...if i were you knowing what i know now after purchasing sony equiptment (huge mistake) I would package it back up the way it came and take it back if at all possible

just my .02 i'm not trying to sound like a bitch or anything but their stuff really does suck *** and i try to tell everybody that i can not to buy it trust me i own some of their **** and it's not worth fooling with it'll be crap in 6 months even if it does sound good at the start

I'd be willing to bet you have the remote turn on for the amp hooked up to the power antena wire. You should have had what looked to have been 2 blue wires of some sort. Turn on your cd player and look to see if the amps are on. If they are not that is probably your problem.
