Best Deal

If you really want a good deal in car audio equipment, work for circuit city. The discount is amazing. I just bought an Alpine 9813 Head unit. The unit lists for $420. Since I work in the computer department, I got the unit, same day installation, the wiring harness, mounting and antenna kit, all for $280, after tax

I told my wife she should get a job there long enough for me to put together a home theater system then she should quit. She just laughed at me.

If you think that's a good deal you should buy something from a company that offers dealer accomodation options. From those companies, you can get the product below dealer cost. Alpine's accomodation policy sucks, so the best you usually wind up doing is cost plus some arbitrary percentage that the store chooses.

My Kenwood excelon deck retailed for $750. I paid under $200 for it.
