do i need subsonic filter
Subsonic filters are intended to keep the amp from wasting power by amplifying frequencies that are below the range of human hearing (below 20Hz, usually). Subsonic fequencies can also muddle other, audible frequencies that the woofer is making. Unless you are trying for the purest sound possible (and keep in mind, the difference is almost too small to hear), don't cosider a subsonic filter a 'must-have' feature in your new amp. Most dedicated bass amps nowadays include this feature anyhow, so, if you spend any kind of money on a new sub amp, you'll probably end up with an amp which has one.
